Presented by lead national counsel for the recording industry in its nationwide campaign against individuals who infringe copyrights through peer-to-peer software on the Internet, this seminar addresses some of the legal issues and organizational challenges that arise in the management of mass and complex litigation, including the unique conflicts of interest, joint prosecution/defense, and privilege issues that arise daily in the course of mass and complex litigation. Our presenters also discuss the use of available technologies, including litigation management databases and client extranets, to manage, control, and maximize the efficient use of case data and information, and they suggest additional steps that might be taken to achieve successful results while controlling the costs of such litigation.
