With litigation practices entering the world of remote technologies due to the coronavirus pandemic, counsel should understand the tools and techniques available remotely to conduct effective depositions. Ethical issues may also arise in such circumstances. This program will discuss methods through which depositions may be taken to accommodate social distancing requirements, including the platforms available for video depositions. Particular attention will be given to effectively using exhibits in remote depositions in a manner that preserves the tactical advantage gained from revealing examination materials to the witness and opposing counsel only when they are ready
