As government officials are loosening shelter in place orders and allowing businesses to re-open during the COVID-19 pandemic, employers are faced with critical decisions as to how to re-open for business and do so safely. Employer decisions now will be viewed critically and, if done incorrectly, could lead to a plethora of claims from employees down the road. This program will discuss legal issues and logistical challenges that await employers as they bring back their workforce and re-open for business. The program will provide strategies and return-to-work best practices that businesses should consider as they re-open, including creating safe workplaces for returning workers, preparing to deal with future changes, and innovation. The program will also discuss relevant employment laws and mitigating employment law risks.
