This presentation will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of an agency protest. The presentation will cover how agency protests differ from GAO protests, situations in which filing an agency protest might be preferable to other kinds of protests, and strategic reasons for filing an agency protest. In addition, this presentation will address potential risks to a contractors award that are created by agency protests. These risks include the lack of transparency in the agency-protest process and lack of publicly available agency decisions. After this presentation, attendees will have a better understanding of how to use agency protests to their advantage and guard against their potential risks.
